Through our support system , privacy-sensitive data , or personal data, is processed. Melis GS considers careful handling of personal data of great importance. Personal data is therefore carefully processed and secured by us.

Use of personal data
When using our support system, we receive certain information from you, which may be personal data. We store and use only the personal data that is provided directly by you, in the context of the service you requested, or of which it is clear at the time of submission that they are provided to us for processing.

Register
Certain areas of our support system require you to register first. After registration, we save the personal data you provide via your chosen username. We save this data so that you do not have to fill it in again each time and so that we can contact you in connection with the performance of the agreement.
We will not provide the data linked to your username to third parties, unless this is necessary within the framework of the performance of the agreement you enter into with us or if it is required by law. In case of suspected fraud or abuse of our support system, we may hand over personal data to the competent authorities.

Our portal allows you to access a management environment where you can set up, specify and change things yourself.
Order fulfillment
When you place an order with us, we use your personal data to process it. If necessary for proper handling , we may also provide your personal data to third parties. You can read more about this later in this privacy statement.

We can inform you of our new products and services in addition to the information on our website:

Contact form and newsletter
We offer through our support system the possibility to ask questions through a contact form, where you are asked to enter various data in order to process your question. You choose which data you provide in the process. The data you send us, will be kept as long as the nature of the form or the content of your e-mail is necessary for it to be fully answered and processed.
We offer a newsletter through which we want to inform interested parties about our products and/or services. Each newsletter contains a link that allows you to unsubscribe. Your e-mail address will automatically be added to the list of subscribers.
Publication
When using our support system, the following data is published so that it is visible on the Internet for all to see:
- your name and address
- information provided by you
You choose what information you publish. It is possible that this may identify you. Upon request, we anonymize information that has been published.
Provision to third parties
We may transfer your data to our partners. These partners are involved in the execution of the agreement.
These partners are based (in part) outside the EU.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to track how visitors use our support system. We have concluded a processor agreement with Google to make arrangements for handling our data. Furthermore, we allow Google to use the obtained Analytics information for other Google services, finally we have the IP addresses anonymized.
Security
We take security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to personal data. In particular, we take the following measures:
- Access to personal data is protected with a username and password
- Once received , the data is stored in a separate, protected system
- We take physical measures to protect access to the systems in which personal data is stored
- We use secure connections (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) that protect all information between you and our website is protected when you enter personal data
- We keep logs of all retrievals of personal data
Retention periods
The personal data described above will be kept for as long as necessary to fulfill your orders, including warranty. Thereafter, we retain data for up to one year for the described statistical purposes. The data is then deleted, unless there is a legal obligation that requires longer retention (such as the seven-year tax retention obligation for payment data).
